Continuing Education Credits
If the networking opportunities and stimulating workshops aren't enough reason to attend Under One Roof, here's another reason: Continuing Education Units (CEUs)! The Network, in cooperation with Mercer County Community College, will once again offer CEUs to its members for the panels and workshops offered this year at our Annual Conference and Membership Meeting.
A CEU is a unit of credit equal to ten hours of participation in a program designed for professionals with certificates or licenses to practice various professions. Many occupations* require continuing education so that professionals can stay current with new technology, laws, and regulations that might apply to their field. CEUs also provide a good way of measuring a person's participation in a continuing education program. The CEU was designed to provide a standard unit of measurement for continuing education and training, measure continuing education and training (CE/T) activites, and allow for the variety of providers, activities, and purposes in adult education. They also serve to verify that a person has completed the required program to receive and retain their professional certificates.
As an added benefit, the cost of the CEUs will be included in the registration fee for members. Not a member? Let's change that today! Click here to learn more about membership and how to become one so you can take advantage of the great workshops at Under One Roof and get CEUs. If you are interested in obtaining CEUs for Under One Roof or would like to learn more, please contact Carol Mikulski at firstname.lastname@example.org.
*Please check with your licensing organization to ascertain that the Conference workshops offered fulfill the continuing education requirement for your particular occupation.
